Rangers have been handed a big boost ahead of the resumption of the Scottish Premiership season with Nikola Katic’s agent providing an update on the Ibrox star’s recovery.
Katic has not played for the Gers this season. , the Croatian suffered a knee injury ahead of the campaign.

It seemed to say a lot that Rangers did not initially offer an idea of how long Katic will be out for (via ). But there has now been some positive news.
Katic’s agent has claimed that the 24-year-old’s recovery is going well. And he expressed a hope that the centre-back would be back in action in the New Year.
“All is going well,” Ives Cakarun said, . “We hope Nikola will be ready for January. It was a big operation, cruciate ligaments and both meniscus.”

Unsurprisingly, the news has gone down well amongst Rangers fans on social media.
Admittedly, Steven Gerrard’s side have coped extremely well without Katic. Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Leon Balogun have helped ensure that Rangers have conceded just three league goals this season.
They have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight games in all competitions. Nevertheless, it will be good news to have Katic back.
He has previously produced some colossal performances for the Light Blues. And with the games coming thick and fast, having Katic – who cost £2 million (via ) – available will be great news for Gerrard.
Here is how some of the Rangers fans reacted to Katic’s agent’s comments…
