Rangers fans react on Twitter to Nathan Patterson’s display

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Nathan Patterson’s display as the Ibrox youngster made his full Scottish Premiership debut on Wednesday.

Steven Gerrard’s side have moved closer to the finish line in the title race with a dramatic win at Livingston. Alfredo Morelos scored the only goal from close range as stoppage-time loomed.

It looked set to be a frustrating night for Rangers. Morelos should have had a penalty during the first-half. And Steven Gerrard’s complaints at half-time led to the Gers boss being dismissed.

But they got the three points. And another positive to emerge from the evening came in the form of Patterson. The 19-year-old came into the starting lineup for the injured Leon Balogun.

And just as he did last Thursday in the Europa League, Patterson managed to vindicate Gerrard’s faith. It proved to be an excellent performance from the teenager.

, he won three aerial duels, made four clearances and three interceptions. No Rangers player was able to match his tally in the latter area.

And it was a display that prompted plenty of Rangers fans to take to social media to heap praise on the youngster. He has come in for some criticism for off field issues lately, so the supporters are clearly pleased to be able to concentrate on what he is doing on the pitch.

Many believe that Rangers have an incredibly exciting talent on their hands. And they are looking forward to seeing him make many more starts for the Gers in the future.
