Rangers are reportedly set to sanction the loan-to-buy exit of Ross McCrorie to Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen with the player undergoing a medical on Monday morning – and Rangers fans have responded on Twitter.
McCrorie, 22, has struggled for game time under Steven Gerrard since the Liverpool legend took over at Ibrox in the summer of 2018. Last season, the Scotland Under-21 man went on loan to English side Portsmouth.
Despite his versatility, he remains well down the pecking order. Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara, Steven Davis and others sit above him in the midfield rankings, while Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and others are preferred in defence.

It has seen McCrorie look for a move from Rangers to further his career. Now, Aberdeen are to raid Rangers to sign McCrorie – in a move that will see McCrorie initially join the club on loan.
But it states that a permanent deal will be included – whether that is a permanent option, or an obligatory move remains unclear. But a medical for McCrorie is expected to be happening on Monday morning.
Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that McCrorie could be on his way to Aberdeen, despite previous interest from Hibernian – with one fan labelling the decision as a “shambles”.
Shambles. Gerrard clueless. Got his favs and that’s it.

Disappointed by this. Thought he’d go on to do great things at a Rangers esp under Gerrard. Watch Aberdeen sell him for £5m in a couple years 😂
Some of our fans are gonna be raging when him an Lewis Ferguson form a nice midfield partnership 👀

That’s a terrible move for us. Imagine we tried to buy one of there players. The fee would be very inflated.

Thought he had a bright future tbh. There’s a player in there that with the right coaching could have solidified his place in the midfield in a couple of years. Plays for the badge aswell which let’s be honest, who else REALLY does that currently
