Rangers fans react as Jordan Jones linked with exit

Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing Rangers winger Jordan Jones this month with the Northern Ireland international struggling for game time at Ibrox – and Rangers fans have reacted to the reported news on Twitter.

that Blackburn want the former Kilmarnock wide man, who has been used just 10 times by Steven Gerrard since joining on a free in the summer. A knee injury has prevented him from playing more regularly.

Former Celtic manager Tony Mowbray is said to be a huge admirer of the 25-year-old, who is renowned for his work ethic, speed and trickery normally from the left flank. He has a contract at Rangers until the summer of 2023.

It remains to be seen if Jones wants to leave Rangers – after making it very clear that he was joining the club he supported as a boy when he put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement back in January 2019.

But The Gers boast plenty of options out wide in the likes of Ryan Kent, Sheyi Ojo, Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield, Glenn Middleton, Greg Stewart and even more. Jones has it all to do to break back into the Rangers side when he returns to full fitness.

Rangers fans reacted to the reported news on Twitter after hearing that Jones – who worked with Mowbray briefly at Middlesbrough – could be on his way to Lancashire. One fan said he would “take £2million”.
