Filip Helander scored Rangers’ opening goal in the 3-0 win over Hearts on Sunday.
Rangers progressed to the final of the Scottish League Cup to set up a date with bitter rivals Celtic. This is a perfect opportunity for Rangers to prevent their Old Firm rivals from winning their third consecutive domestic treble.
Helander has received high praise after the game. Rangers recently struggled with their 1-1 draw against Hearts in the league. The towering Sweden international was on the bench that day.

But he has since regained his place in the starting line-up and it was a considerable improvement with Helander at the back. Not only did he keep a clean sheet but he also got on the scoresheet too.
Helander got the ball rolling for Rangers on their way to a comfortable win. Alfredo Morelos received the ball on the right flank and sent in a low cross. With the Hearts defence napping, Helander strolled into the box and fired past Joel Pereira.
This was the 26-year-old’s second goal for the Gers since his summer move. He will be hard to oust from the starting line-up and here are some tweets about his performance.
