Rangers fans mock Hibernian interest in midfielder Greg Docherty

Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty is reportedly on the radar of Hibernian – and some of the club’s supporters believe there is no way they would sell him to them.

The 22-year-old has been on a season-long loan with Shrewsbury Town during the last year in League One and impressed in English football.

, Hibernian will lead the chase for Docherty if Rangers decide to offload him again in the summer.

It is understood that Hibernian chiefs have scouted the Scotsman and they could even consider a loan approach for him ahead of next season.

The report details that Shrewsbury would be keen on keeping the central midfielder and his future at Ibrox is currently unclear.

A selection of Rangers fans on social media seem adamant that Docherty shouldn’t be sold to Hibernian and many feel he could make an impact in their first team next season.

He could add some extra creativity to Steven Gerrard’s midfield if he is kept next season.

Docherty has made 48 appearances across all competitions this term for Shrewsbury, scoring an impressive 10 goals and supplying 11 assists in return for them on loan.
