Rangers kept up their impressive start to the new season with a 4-0 victory over Dundee United on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were raving about Scott Arfield for his performance.
Steven Gerrard’s side wrapped up three points at Ibrox with another win, which means they’ve now got 19 points from their opening seven games at the top of the league table.
Ryan Kent and James Tavernier both scored first-half goals for the Gers to put them in the driving seat.
It was substitute Arfield that made the big difference in the second-half, after only entering the action in the 58th minute.
The midfielder assisted summer signing Kemar Roofe for the third goal of the match, before he got on the scoresheet himself with a right-footed effort that he guided into the net.
Arfield, 31, hasn’t been a regular starter in the early stages of the season for the Scottish giants, but certainly put pressure on his manager Gerrard to use him more in the upcoming fixtures with his excellent cameo display.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media picked out central midfielder Arfield for his impact in the latest win and one suggested that he doesn’t get enough credit for his work on the pitch.
