Rangers fans fuming as Sheyi Ojo struggles against Young Boys in Europa League
Rangers suffered an injury-time defeat to Young Boys on Thursday night in the Europa League as Christian Fassnacht lashed home an effort from the edge of the area to win 2-1 – and Gers fans are disappointed with the performance of Sheyi Ojo.
Steven Gerrard’s side took the lead towards the end of the first half, as Alfredo Morelos latched on to a mistake from Cedric Zesiger before finishing expertly past goalkeeper David von Ballmoos.
But Rangers were pegged back instantly, and it was because of a mistake from captain James Tavernier. His sloppy tough saw Yonug Boys win the ball back high up the field, and Roger Assame was on hand to turn home a low cross.

Both sides had chances with the scoreline at 1-1. With Rangers set to earn a point in Switzerland, Tavernier slipped allowing Fassnacht the time and space to hammer a bouncing ball through Allan McGregor and earn all three points.
Ally McCoist, who was co-commentating for BT Sport, described Liverpool loanee Ojo as “frustrating” during the match and it is understandable to see why. The £10k-a-week winger () struggled when in possession, and left Borna Barisic isolated.
He failed to capitalise on some decent openings for Rangers, with Gerrard’s side looking the more dangerous during spells in the match. Rangers fans reacted to Ojo’s performance on Twitter, with many criticising the wide man.
Cant believe we got beat last night , without katic in our defence we loose far too many aerial duals for my liking. Both goals come from mistakes , but they where still defended shockingly all round. Ojo brings absolutely nothing to away games , not a thing ,hes a wasted jersey.

Ojo frustrates me He is a lazy player and was out of his depth Tav sadly 2 costly errors although I also didn’t think Helander was particularly impressive in defence

Alfredo was the only player with pass marks.
I don't understand why Ojo was kept on

Ojo looked a bit out of his depth tonight. A bit more support from midfield and defence set up could help, but in these competitions all players need to work their areas and help team mates. Tav played ok until Jack went off, but errors cost us. I can’t believe we lost that game.
