Rangers clearly got the better Old Firm deal as Glen Kamara dominates Youssouf Mulumbu

Rangers dealt out a thrashing against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup last night. Alfredo Morelos hit the back of the net on four occasions as Steven Gerrard’s side romped to a win at Ibrox.

One player who put in a stunning performance was midfielder Glen Kamara. The Finland international joined the club in January from Dundee. Rangers paid £100,000 to bring in the midfielder six months early, after he had previously agreed a deal to join the club on a Bosman in the summer.

He was making his first start for the club and Rangers fans will have been pleased with what they saw.

He also got the better of a current Celtic owned player. Youssouf Mulumbu is on loan at Kilmarnock after failing to nail down a regular place at Parkhead. That came after a summer where he was linked with a move to Rangers,

In the end, he headed to Celtic.

In January, it was a similar tale with Kamara. that numerous clubs were keen on the Finn, including Celtic and Rangers. He headed to Rangers.

Based on this display, Rangers clearly got the better deal with the £100,000 bargain. Hopefully, he can help continue closing the gap between the Old Firm rivals.
