Rangers and Celtic fans react as Lewis Ferguson scores stunning goal for Aberdeen

Lewis Ferguson scored a stunning goal for Aberdeen on Tuesday night as Derek McInnes’ side beat Hamilton 4-2 with all four goals coming in just over the first 30 minutes – and both Celtic and Rangers fans discussed the midfielder’s strike.

Aberdeen went 4-0 up insider 32 minutes as Ryan Edmondson scored a brace – his first goals since joining Aberdeen on loan from Leeds and the first two senior goals of his professional career. Defender Tommie Hoban also scored a header.

Edmondson played the ball to the right flank which saw Ferguson stride into the path of the ball and strike a right-footed effort into the top corner past Hamilton goalkeeper Ryan Fulton. It was easily the pick of the six goals at Pittodrie on Tuesday.

Ferguson continues to shine for Aberdeen, but has ended a very impressive end product to his game this season. Clocking up 13 appearances, the midfielder has scored seven goals. He has totalled 95 games for the Dons, having a hand in 36 goals.

Ferguson, the nephew of Barry Ferguson and son of Derek Ferguson, has been long linked with Rangers – most recently linked by earlier this summer that Celtic were also linked with Ferguson.

Both Rangers and Celtic fans responded to Ferguson’s goal for Aberdeen against Hamilton, with both clubs being recently linked. It appears both sets of supporters are keen on landing Ferguson in the future.
