Rangers travel to Aberdeen on Sunday in the Scottish Cup for one of their biggest games of the season so far.
It may be the only chance left for the Gers this campaign to try win silverware, but they will need to be at their best at Pittodrie.
Manager Steven Gerrard has regularly rotated in the centre of the park this season, but has in fact used the same triple combination for the last three consecutive games across all competitions.
Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield appear to have struck up a brilliant balance and partnership in midfield.
That is in danger of being disrupted though, as Rangers have confirmed () that Arfield is now a doubt for the cup fixture.
It leaves Gerrard with some thinking to do and the best solution would be to recall academy graduate Ross McCrorie to replace Arfield if he is ruled out.

McCrorie is a no-nonsense central midfielder that has made 25 senior appearances this season and is unfortunate not to have nailed down a spot in the team.
The 20-year-old rarely puts a foot wrong when he features and has an excellent work-rate that matches with Gerrard’s philosophy.
He could slot nicely into the midfield trio to give a physical presence, with Kamara playing the more attacking box-to-box role that Arfield usually provides.
