A number of Rangers and Portsmouth fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ross McCrorie’s performance after the youngster was named man of the match on Saturday.
McCrorie has endured a mixed spell at Fratton Park. He has not always found it easy to stay in Kenny Jackett’s side, and has often been used at right-back.

McCrorie featured at right-back on Saturday against Oxford United. And he produced an outstanding performance as Pompey came agonisingly close to picking up the three points.
In fact, Oxford’s equaliser actually came after McCrorie had been substituted in the 85th minute. It was as he was making his way back to the bench that it was announced that the 21-year-old was named as the man of the match.

And he received plenty of plaudits from Rangers and Pompey supporters on social media. The Gers fans are clearly delighted to see the youngster doing well given that many continue to have extremely high hopes for the academy graduate.
And some of the Portsmouth supporters have hit out at Jackett over the decision to take McCrorie off. There also appears to be some frustration about the position McCrorie is being deployed in.
Here is how some of the Rangers and Portsmouth fans reacted to McCrorie’s display and man of the match award win…

Another week, another shambles in added time. Just get Jackett out, please. Could see us dropping off after 65 mins so he waits until the 84th for our first sub ?
Williams, Curtis and McCrorie were unreal today though, worked their socks off and played some nice stuff.
