Rangers ace names teammate who’s ‘not nice’ to face in training, recently deemed ‘£20m player in the making’
Glasgow Rangers defender Connor Goldson has praised Ibrox teammate Ryan Kent amid interest from south of the border, describing the winger as a “massive asset” who is difficult to face in training.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard told on Friday that Leeds had contacted Rangers over Kent but said their opening bid was “strongly rejected” and sought to make it clear he is “not for sale”.
Kent enjoyed a bright season on loan at Rangers from Liverpool in 2018-19, scoring six goals and registering six assists in 23 Premiership appearances.

This prompted Steven Gerrard to splash out a reported for the player last September, and he was tipped to be a game-changer in the Ibrox side’s quest for title number 55.
While 2019-20 ended up being a somewhat disappointing campaign for Kent, he has hit the ground running this time round, netting two goals from four Scottish Premiership games.
“Ryan Kent has a lot of ability, it is not nice when he runs at you, even in training!”
“He can still add numbers to his game but he is a massive asset to us and we want to keep Ryan Kent here. You can see the benefit with a full pre-season behind him.”
TBR View:
Kent has kicked on massively this season and, being just 23 and contracted to the club until 2023, it would be baffling for Rangers to let him move on at this stage.
Leeds were reported to have bid £10million for Kent, an offer which Ibrox legend Barry Ferguson derided in his column.
“Rangers would be crazy to even contemplate letting him go at that price because he’s a £20m player in the making and I truly believe he’s ready right now to take his game to another level’,” he wrote.
Admittedly, it could be difficult for Rangers to keep hold of him if Leeds do increase their offer to £20million plus, not to mention offering big wages, but if Kent does go, then the Light Blues need to make sure that it’s for as huge a sum as possible.
