‘Ralph could be the making of him’ – Southampton fans discuss Sofiane Boufal’s future
Sofiane Boufal scored a stunning goal at the weekend and that surely caught Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl’s eye.
Boufal helped ease Celta Vigo’s relegation concerns with his third goal of the season since his summer loan move from Southampton.
Mark Hughes fell out with Boufal and decided to send him on loan to Spain, where he has since netted three goals and provided three assists.
The Morocco international clearly has a lot of talent but has often been criticised for his consistency and end product.

But he took his goal very well, picking the ball up on the left flank, advancing into the area and curling in a right-footed shot via the inside of the post.
Southampton fans have been discussing whether the 25-year-old has a future with the south coast club.
Under Hasenhuttl, Southampton’s performances have improved dramatically and several players have been transformed under his stewardship.
The likes of Nathan Redmond and James Ward-Prowse have improved their performances under Hasenhuttl and look like new players.
Here are some tweets from Southampton fans wondering whether Hasenhuttl can save Boufal’s Southampton career.
If hassenhuttl can get some consistency out of him like he has with Redmond Boufal will feel like a new signing.

If this man isn’t even on the bench for us next season it will be criminal.

I reckon Ralph could be the making of him if he grows up.

You can’t question his work ethic on the pitch. He actually puts in a hell of a shift when he plays. The issue is his attitude off the pitch and I’m not sure even Ralph can sort that out.

He is there because he had too much vision in a team that had none!!!
Very much like Gaston RamirezRob (@NobbyD27)
