Radu Dragusin now posts message to Tottenham fans after making his debut on Sunday

Radu Dragusin has posted a message to Tottenham Hotspur fans after making his debut at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Romanian defender completed a switch from Genoa on Thursday after an eventful transfer saga.

Tottenham eventually got a deal over the line for Radu Dragusin, despite a late attempt from Bayern Munich to hijack the deal.

It led to Eric Dier making the switch to Munich and Ange Postecoglou finally got that much-needed central defender.

Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero returned to action on Sunday as Spurs picked up a 2-2 draw at Manchester United.

Dragusin started on the bench but replaced Oliver Skipp in the 85th minute and helped Tottenham see out the result.

And after making his debut for the North London club, Dragusin posted a message to Spurs supporters on .

Dragusin sends message to Tottenham fans after Old Trafford debut

Dragusin took to social media on Monday evening and expressed his delight after making his first appearance for Spurs.

He wrote: “Amazing feeling making my debut for this incredible club, thanks to the fans for the support.”

The signing of Dragusin feels huge for Spurs when you consider their struggles in defence this term.

Van de Ven had been ruled out since early November before making his return over the weekend.

Romero had also missed the last few games with a hamstring injury after picking up a red card in the same game when Van de Ven suffered a setback.

It’s led to Postecoglou experimenting with his backline in the duo’s absence, with Emerson Royal and Ben Davies forming a make-shift centre-back partnership.

But with his two favoured centre-backs returning and the addition of Dragusin, Spurs suddenly have three quality options in central defence.

This will also give Postecoglou the option of switching his system up, much like he did to see out the game at United on Sunday.
