‘Pure class’: Liverpool fans rave about Xherdan Shaqiri after Bournemouth win
Xherdan Shaqiri completed 65 minutes in the win over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon – and some Liverpool fans on Twitter went wild about the quality of his performance.
Jurgen Klopp’s side temporarily leapfrogged Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table and owed a lot to their dazzling attacker Mohamed Salah.
The Egypt international netted a hat-trick to make sure of three points, while Steve Cook’s scored an own goal after deflecting in a pacy Andrew Robertson cross.
They are now 16 games into the league season and have their unbeaten record still alive, with their only defeats so far coming in cup competitions.

A selection of Liverpool fans on social media were particularly impressed with Shaqiri for his display, as he started a fifth consecutive league fixture for the Reds.
The 27-year-old winger has scored three goals and supplied three assists since his summer move to Anfield and is becoming an important first-team player.
One Liverpool supporter made the comparison with Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil by stating that isn’t on the same level as Shaqiri.
Ozil, 30, has been directly involved in five goals so far this campaign compared to Shaqiri’s six and there is very little to split them based on this season alone.
But the Arsenal and German attacking midfielder has achieved a lot during his illustrious career, which is why many may still feel he is streaks ahead of Shaqiri.
They are both left-footed maestros with an eye for goal and have a great range of passing, but it’s Shaqiri who is now part of a more superior Liverpool team than Arsenal.
Here are some of the Liverpool fan tweets on Shaqiri:
