Pundit who supports Tottenham now ‘disappointed’ by what Spurs are about to do
One pundit – who actually supports Spurs – is upset by what his beloved Tottenham have now agreed to do.

Darren Ambrose upset by Tottenham decision on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Darren Ambrose has now told talkSPORT that he is saddened by talk of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leaving Tottenham for Marseille.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Spurs will receive around €14m (£12m) from the Denmark international’s move to France, and the deal is one step away from completion following talks with Roberto De Zerbi.
Speaking about Hojbjerg’s imminent exit, Ambrose : “You know what? I am disappointed by that. I know he gets a lot of stick, I think sometimes unnecessarily. I think he is like marmite for Spurs supporters. Sometimes they are not having him, sometimes they are 50-50 really, but I like him.
“I think he could add a lot in terms of experience as well. You can tell that he is passionate for the football club when he comes on. Sometimes he has come on, he has cleared one off the line, and it’s like he has scored a goal. He had a good Euros as well. I am disappointed if this goes ahead.”
Hojbjerg made 36 Premier League appearances under Ange Postecoglou last season, but only eight of those came as starts.
Spurs exit makes sense
Despite Ambrose disagreeing with the sale, we believe Spurs have made the right decision.
Hojbjerg only has 12 months remaining on his contract at Tottenham, so this is £12m Spurs would most likely have missed out on if Postecoglou opted to keep the Dane for another season, and he departed on a free transfer.
Furthermore, Tottenham see Archie Gray as a central midfielder following the versatile wonderkid’s £30m move from Leeds.
Therefore, Hojbjerg – who was already well down in the pecking order – would have most likely been handed fewer Premier League starts next season.
Ultimately, despite his leadership qualities and experience, the 28-year-old often looked uncomfortable in Postecoglou’s system, which demands intense pressing and speedy, slick passing.
Hopefully, Hojbjerg enjoys his time in Marseille, and can get back to being a vital player like he was at Southampton.
