Pundit slams ‘stupid’ £42m man for what he did today, senior figures at Spurs wanted to sign him in January

Kalvin Phillips – who senior figures at Tottenham allegedly wanted to sign in January – has been criticised for what he did earlier today as West Ham tasted defeat.

It was Mike Dean – working as a pundit on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday – who made ꦡthe comments.

So, what was said about Kalvin Phillips after Tottenham showed interest last month? Let’s take a look…

Kalvin Phillips branded “stupid” after red card

Well, the 55🌄-year-old𒈔 did not hold back in the Sky Sports studio after seeing that the England international picked up two yellow cards at the City Ground.

Wes⭕t Ham e🅰ventually ended up losing 2-0 to Nottingham Forest.

Dean : “He had just been cautiꦉoned for getting involved with (Nicolas) Dominguez for no reason whatsoever, and then two minutes later, he’s caught (Morgan Gibbs-White) on the top of the foot.

“Stupid seᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚcond yellow card. He’s wasting his time playing, he just doesn’t even look interested.”

It comes after the claimed that senior figures at Tottenham wanted to sign Phillips in January to bolste🔥r Ange ♈Postecoglou’s midfield department.

Ultimately, Spurs landed Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin, but did no♕t sign a new midfielder.

Tottenham may have dodged a bullet

Phillips has endured a nightmarish start to life on loan at ಞWest🦋 Ham – to say the least.

The Yorkshireman lost possession right on the edge of West Ham’s box minutes into his debut against Bournemouth, which costꦛ the Hammers a goal after Dominic Solanke sl💜otted in.

That clash eventually finished 1-1.

Phillips then lost possession again during West Ham’s 3💯-0 loss to Manchester🌱 United which allowed Alejandro Garnacho to slot home, before a 6-0 defeat to Arsenal followed in his third outing.

Now – after being sent off on his fourth appearance for West Ham – it seem♔s Tottenham may have dodged a bullet by missing out on the man.
