Pundit says Spurs have a 22-year-old in their ranks who has no weaknesses

Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has come in for praise from Romanian pundit Lucian Goian.

The 41-year-old believes that the Spurs newcomer is a top talent with no weaknesses, and would already like to see him get more starts.

Dragusin joined Tottenham from Italian outfit Genoa in January for a £26.7million fee, but he’s yet to start for Spurs.

Postecoglou has been easing the player into action at Tottenham, having given him several Premier League cameos off the bench.

The Romania international has made three appearances to date for Spurs to date for a total of eight minutes plus stoppage time.

Dragusin was also an unused substitute in Tottenham’s last two games, the win against Brighton and the loss to Wolves last time out.

Tottenham ace Radu Dragusin is a ‘strong, intelligent, professional footballer’

However, despite this current lack of game time, Goian is confident that his compatriot will be featuring regularly in due time.

“I don’t think they paid €25m for him to make the bench,” he told . “I’d like him to come in and play and stay in England. It’s getting harder and harder to get a footballer at Tottenham’s level.

“I don’t think he has any weaknesses. He’s a strong, intelligent, professional footballer. Even if he doesn’t have very good speed, he can correct that from his positioning,” Goian explained.

“He’s not Varane, who has super-speed, but he makes up for it with his intelligence. From what I’ve heard from football people who know him, he trains very well, he’s careful what he does off the pitch.”

The fact Dragusin hasn’t had much game time at Tottenham as of yet should be no cause for alarm.

Nowadays, it’s normal to see players being eased into life at a new club, being given limited minutes to begin with.

It’s also not uncommon to see players struggle initially, before things then click and they become indispensable.

Dragusin is a superb talent who has already proven himself in Serie A and it’ll be exciting to see how he develops at Spurs.
