Pundit noticed James Maddison was annoyed with £15m Tottenham teammate last weekend
Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 3-1 on Saturday.
Spurs managed to beat their London rivals, but it was far from a straightforward win for Tottenham.
Indeed, Spurs initially went 1-0 down against the Eagles, and they squandered a fair few chances too before taking the lead.
Speaking on , Steve Sidwell has been discussing some of Spurs’ missed chances and, in particular, Timo Werner.
The pundit noticed during the game that Werner’s positional sense was a bit off at times, claiming that he noted that James Maddison appeared to be very frustrated by the man at one point.

James Maddison was annoyed with Werner’s movement
Sidwell shared what he noticed from Tottenham’s game at the weekend.
“There was one on the weekend where Spurs were going down the right hand side, Maddison was in the middle and Timo Werner was on the left and you could see Maddison going to Timo Werner get in the box, get in the box, and if he was in there he would have scored, Maddison looked straight at him as if to say if I can see that why can’t you?” Sidwell said.
Frustrating
We have to sympathise with Maddison here.
Maddison is such a talented player with an immense footballing brain, and it must drive him crazy when a striker who he is desperately trying to set up isn’t making the right sorts of runs.
Make no mistake about it, Maddison has the vision and the ability to spot any run and pick out almost any pass, and Werner needs to hold up his end of the bargain if this partnership is going to start to pay dividends.
Maddison is a striker’s dream as a playmaker, but Werner certainly isn’t what you would call a playmaker’s dream as he often doesn’t make the right moves and even when he does, his finishing can be off.
