Pundit gives the main reason why Man Utd will not hire Thomas Tuchel to replace Erik ten Hag

Manchester United may soon be looking for a new manager.

Erik ten Hag is under serious pressure at Old Trafford after a terrible start to the season.

United sit 14th in the Premier League table, and it may only take one or two more poor results for Ten Hag to be given the boot.

A number of replacements have been linked, Gareth Southgate is said to be admired by Manchester United, while Thomas Tuchel is always an option for the Red Devils.

Speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Scott Minto has been discussing the idea of Tuchel coming to Old Trafford.

Scott Minto shares why Manchester United won’t hire Thomas Tuchel

Minto discussed United’s options to replace Ten Hag, and he noted that Tuchel is an unlikely candidate.

Indeed, the pundit believes the ‘‘ manager, as per , wouldn’t be a a concrete option for United because he’s someone who always wants to get his way.

With Jim Ratcliffe looking to have a more hands-on approach at Old Trafford, he’ll perhaps want a manager who isn’t so stubborn about having full control of the team.

“It’s no easy fix, it’s not just changing the manager. Whoever you get in, whether you get Ruud, which smacks to me as an interim, Ole all over again, or if you try to persuade Thomas Tuchel, which I don’t think they would, I don’t think they would want someone like him there because Tuchel wants it all his own way,” Minto said.

What Tuchel told Manchester United this summer

Tuchel and Manchester United seem to have been flirting for a long time now.

Tuchel reportedly feels as though he has unfinished business in the Premier League, and he pushed to get the United job in the summer.

In fact, there was reportedly a meeting between the two parties a few months ago, and Tuchel made an interesting claim during that meeting.

Indeed, Manchester United were reportedly in the meeting that Tuchel could get the best out of Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount.

Sancho has, of course, since left the club, while Mount continues to struggle for form and fitness.

With Ten Hag’s future up in the air, there are bound to be more rumours regarding Tuchel, but, as Minto says, the Red Devils may be hesitant to hire a manager who has such a hands-on approach.
