‘No end product’: BBC pundit slams £30m West Ham player for what he kept doing against Manchester United

West Ham winger Said Benrahma has been mentioned more than most in recent weeks and his performance caught the eye at Manchester United today.

Well, it caught the eye. But for the wrong reasons it seems.

Benrahma, who cost the , seemed to fail to deliver when it mattered against United, despite having plenty of space at times. Usually one of the Hammers players who can make something happen, Benrahma just didn’t seem to be quite at it today, especially in the first 45 minutes.

And that was something picked up on by former England winger Chris Waddle. Commentating on the game for the BBC, Waddle felt Benrahma’s end product left a lot to be desired.

“Benrahma has had the most space of any West Ham player today but he has not made the most of it. No end product,” Waddle .

Of course, David Moyes had laid down a challenge to Benrahma earlier this week. hadn’t quite put the time into learning English as well as he could have.

Certainly, his performance at Old Trafford today won’t have done much to enamour Moyes towards him much more.

TBR’s View: Benrahma not quite at for West Ham v Manchester United

You are always going to get this with a player like Said Benrahma. Sometimes he will have games where he is unplayable. And at times, he’ll have games where it doesn’t happen.

Today seemed like one of those days and in fairness, if anyone knows about good end product from wide areas then it’s Chris Waddle.

It seems like Benrahma needs to add that little bit extra to his game to really get on the best side of David Moyes.

Any player can have an off day at Old Trafford, but given Moyes’ midweek comments, it seems like the Hammers boss doesn’t have the best of patience.
