PSG president playing key role in trying to beat Tottenham to ‘sensational’ talent
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly playing an active role in trying to land a youngster who Tottenham are rumoured to be interested in.
The north London side have been productive this summer in terms of overhauling their squad, with Tottenham winning the race for Leeds United Archie Gray, with work ongoing to offload players who have been deemed surplus to requirements.
Bryan Gil is believed to be a target for Girona, with Tottenham looking to replace the Spanish youngster this summer with a new forward as Ange Postecoglou looks to find the attacker that could compliment Heung-min Son in the attack.
Yet one option could soon be off the table for Tottenham this summer.

PSG ramp up interest in signing Tottenham target Desire Doue
According to , Al-Khelaifi is personally involved in the signing of Desire Doue, who has emerged this summer as one of the most promising talents in all of Europe, with Tottenham interested in the youngster.
Praised as a prospect, Doue has exploded onto the scene in the last 12 months after a breakout year with Stade Rennais, with Arsenal and Newcastle United also linked with a move for the 19-year-old attacker.
However, news of Al-Khelaifi getting his own hands involved in PSG’s pursuit of Doue is bad news for Tottenham, who could now be well out of the race to sign the French wonderkid this summer.
Indeed, with Kylian Mbappe gone at PSG, the French giants are in need of a new superstar forward to build their future around, and Doue could believe he can be that player if a move to Paris happens in the coming weeks.

Tottenham won’t be losing sleep over missing out on Doue
Doue is clearly a talented prospect who could have a big future in the game if his development continues at its frantic pace, yet for Tottenham, losing out on the youngster isn’t the end of the world.
At 19-years-old, Doue is a project player who could go array if he fails to hit the ground running at Tottenham, an outcome that Spurs supporters have seen more than a few times with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele.
And as a result, Tottenham won’t be too mad about missing out on Doue, with an established forward more likely to succeed in north London than a youngster still finding his place in the game.
