PSG preparing another bid for £60m forward who Ange Postecoglou asked Tottenham to sign
French giants Paris Saint-Germain could now be poised to ruin some of Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer plans in the coming weeks.
Although it’s been a productive summer in terms of players leaving Ange Postecoglou’s squad, the Spurs manager may be disappointed with the amount of players signed thus far.
Archie Gray is a fantastic addition, there’s little doubt about that.
However, with the new Premier League season fast approaching, Postecoglou’s squad does look somewhat undercooked.
There still isn’t sufficient cover at full-back, and Tottenham supporters will still worry about the club’s goal scoring were 32-year-old Son Heung-min ever to miss a period through injury.
Johan Lange still has a lot of work to do, and worryingly for Spurs fans it seems as if the club may be gazumped in their quest to sign young French star Desire Doue.
Postecoglou asked Tottenham to sign Doue earlier this summer according to reports, an addition he considered to be a ‘priority’.
And when Doue began to interact with Tottenham players on social media, all was looking very promising.
PSG and Bayern Munich battling it out to sign Tottenham target Desire Doue
However, PSG and Bayern Munich’s interest seems to have blown Spurs out of the race somewhat, even if the north Londoners could still make a late move.
Either way, transfer expert has been keeping up with the race to sign Doue, and has just shared news of another PSG bid over on X.
Romano said that the French side were ready to push again to sign Doue after Bayern had also submitted a new bid.
And the journalist ultimately concluded that £60m-rated Doue’s decision will be the deciding factor.
He shared: “Paris Saint-Germain are ready to push again on Desire Doue deal after the project presented by Nasser Al Khelaifi.
“PSG are prepared to bid again, after new proposal from Bayern to Rennes today.
“Doue decision will make the difference.”
Right now it seems as if Tottenham aren’t necessarily in contention, at least from Romano’s update.
And perhaps that could be because the club are turning their attention to Spain star Dani Olmo.
And although competition will be similarly rife for the RB Leipzig forward, Tottenham can still sign Olmo for a very reasonable price.
