PSG director admits Everton got one over them in Moise Kean deal
PSG director Leonardo admits that Everton got the better deal with Moise Kean this season. The striker is spending the campaign in France.
PSG have Moise Kean for the season – but that’s it. Director Leonardo has outright stated that there is no option to buy in the deal with Everton because it would have been ‘very high’.

“There is no purchase option for Moise Kean,” . “It would unfortunately be very high. He is an excellent player, whom we have been following for a while, a very powerful player!”
The Brazilian went on to explain that they tried, however.
“In England, it’s different,” he said. “Normally, you make loans with an option to buy. But if we had put one in, it would have been so high that we could not have lifted it.
“It should have been renegotiated.”

What a deal for Everton, then. before the deal completed that the Toffees did not want any option. It appears they got their way.
PSG will regret that, certainly, as you can see from Leonardo believing they should have tried to renegotiate a fee. You can’t blame him for that regret, either, given the player’s start.
Kean has started six games for PSG and scored five goals, adding another assist. It’s a pretty phenomenal record for a 20-year-old on loan and each goal drives his price up further.
We wrote recently that Everton have made a very lucrative deal here. Leonardo confirming the lack of buying option simply confirms that. The Toffees could sell Kean on for a massive fee if his form continues for the next few months.
But then, maybe they’ll decide to keep him. After all, he’s a player who’s scoring for fun in a major league. Either way, this loan is proving to be a fantastic decision from Everton.
