PSG are now tempted to sign Manchester United’s third-highest-paid player this summer

French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the summer.

The Englishman has been in the news a lot over the last few days for all the wrong reasons. His long-term future at Manchester United is up in the air as a result, and PSG could come calling at the end of the season.

PSG are tempted to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has had a difficult season at Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has managed just four goals in 26 appearances in all competitions this season, which is a shocking return for someone as talented as him.

To make things worse, Rashford has had issues away from the pitch as well. He was reportedly spotted in a nightclub last week, just a few hours before he declared himself too ill to train.

Erik ten Hag left him out of the side for their FA Cup game against Newport County last weekend, and there has been a lot of talk about his future since.

Ally McCoist urged Manchester United to sell him, and reveal today that Paris Saint-Germain, who have been linked with a move to sign Rashford in the past, could look at him again.

The report claims that a purchase is not on ‘top of the agenda’ at the moment, but a PSG insider in Paris has insisted that the French champions are ‘tempted to return with a fresh offer at the end of the season’ to sign Rashford.

Rashford needs to leave Manchester United

On his day, Marcus Rashford can be one of the best players in the world.

The 26-year-old has all the qualities you would want from an attacker, and he showed last season that he can score goals at the top level. He does things at times that take your breath away.

However, it’s just not happening for Rashford at Manchester United, and the fact that he is the club’s third-highest-paid player, earning an eye-watering £300,000 a week (), makes it difficult for the club as well as they begin their process to rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

A move away might just be the best thing for all parties involved, and PSG could be a great club for Rashford. He could become a superstar in Ligue 1.

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the coming months, but if nothing changes, we think Rashford and Manchester United should part ways.
