Prince William sends nine-word message to Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins after Euro 2024 winner vs Netherlands
Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins netted the winner against the Netherlands last night to send England to the Euro 2024 final.
England produced their best performance of the tournament on Wednesday evening as they defeated the Netherlands 2-1.
Xavi Simons put Oranje 1-0 to the good with a wonderful strike before Harry Kane levelled from the spot shortly after.
England were probing but couldn’t quite find the second goal until Watkins produced a marvellous right-footed strike from the corner of the box which beat Bart Verbruggen in the 90th minute.
Following the game, Prince William issues a nine-word message to the Villa man.

“You can dream but I am a realist, I just take by day and one step at a time. I was just focused on getting back into the first team at Exeter!
