Premier League: Team of the Week XVIII feat. Manchester United and Chelsea stars

It was the week of the festive fixtures in the Premier League as the football action returned for Boxing Day and beyond, and leaders Chelsea were big♚ winners, comfortably claiming victory for a club record 12th straight Premier League g꧅ame against Bournemouth, whilst Swansea dismissed coach Bob Bradley following a 4-1 home defeat by West Ham, with the American only having been in charge for 11 matches.

Fortunately🤡 for the 19t🐬h placed Swans, none of the teams around them picked up points apart from Crystal Palace, who drew 1-1 at Watford in Sam Allardyce’s first game in charge of the club following Alan Pardew’s dismissal.

Liverpool are keeping the heat on the leader♛s however, after coming from behind to topple Stoke 4-1 at Anfield, whilst it was a case of patience for the presents for Manchester City and Arsenal this Christmas, after both secured late wins over Hull and West Brom respectively. Manchester United also remain on the march, following their convincing victory at home to Sunderland in David Moyes’ first return to Old Trafford since being sacked by United in 2014.

Elsewhere, Tottenham kept their pace with the top four with victory at Southampton, Everton provided their supporters with some festive cheerꦬ with a hard earned victory at Leicester, and Burnley continued their decent season by boosting their survival hopes with a late win at home to struggling Middlesbrough.

But who sparkled during the festive season to propel themselves 𓄧into The Boot Room’s Pick of the Week for Match-Day 18?
