Premier League: Team of the Week XV feat. Chelsea and Leicester stars

It was a thrilling Match-Day 15 in the Premier League, as the season’s action begins to run into the hectic Christmas period. There were plenty of early presents dished out on a weekend where it was goals galore throughout, and there was a much needed one for defending champions Leicester City who put their poor run of form behind them with an emphatic 4-2 win over Manchester City.

There was another lift for struggling Burnley, who hit three past Bournemouth at Turf Moor to win a five-goal thriller, and Walter Mazzarri’s Watford did exactly the same in the early kick-off at Vicarage Road which proved enough to see off Everton and pile the misery on Ronald Koeman.

Hull and Crystal Palace finished at a stalemate with six goals to entertain the watching crowd at the KCOM Stadium, whilst Swansea hit three without reply at the Liberty Stadium against a shell-shocked Sunderland.

Arsenal briefly moved top of the Premier League on Saturday after coming from behind to beat Stoke at the Emirates Stadium, before a Diego Costa blockbuster was enough for Chelsea to edge past West Brom a day later to regain the lead.

Manchester United and Southampton both clinched narrow wins against Tottenham and Middlesbrough, before Liverpool and West Ham featured in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield to round off the weekend’s action.

But who stood out the most in this set of games which featured a plethora of goals and moments of brilliance, to make The Boot Room’s Team of the Week?
