Premier League defender follows Leeds and some Whites players on Instagram

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White may have just dropped an enormous hint that he could be about to join Leeds United, by following the Yorkshire club and two players on Instagram.

White, 21, was first linked with the club at the start of the month, with Leeds looking to complete loan deals for the Brighton defender, and Wolves winger Helder Costa.

The centre-back went on loan to League One side Peterborough United during the second half of the season, impressing from January onwards and clocking up 16 appearances. He even scored against Southend United.

It has seen Marcelo Bielsa identify the young Premier League ace as cover for Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson next season, and it seems as though a move is in full swing after White followed Leeds, Kalvin Phillips and Tyler Denton.

TBR’s view – White is perfect for Leeds

Leeds desperately need a new centre-back and White is an excellent addition. The Whites are unable to bring in a central defender of the highest quality or experience, as Cooper and Jansson are first choice.

They need a defender happy with being back up and making between 20 and 25 appearances throughout the campaign. It appears that White could indeed be satisfied with that.

His decision to follow Leeds on Instagram and two of the Championship club’s players is indeed a big hint that he could be on his way to Elland Road.
