Predicting Arsenal’s starting XI in 2030 with Martin Odegaard gone and £50m winger Mikel Arteta’s new star
Arsenal have a blend of youth and experience in Mikel Arteta’s current starting 11.
The Gunners’ starting 11 had an average age of around 25 last season, so by the time 2030 swings around, some of their regulars will be well into their 30s.
So, TBR Football has decided to predict what their XI will look like in six years, with Mikel Arteta still at the helm.
We’ve gone with a 4-2-3-1 formation and there are some big exclusions…
Arsenal 2030 starting 11

James Beadle
James Beadle, 20, is currently on the books of Brighton on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and is regarded as one of England’s best young goalkeepers.
David Raya will be 34 by this point, so it’s likely Arsenal would’ve signed his successor and we’ve gone with Beadle, who’s showing massive potential.
Ben White
Ben White retains his spot in Arteta’s 2030 XI and will be one of the more experienced members of the dressing room, aged 32.
William Saliba
William Saliba is another current first-teamer who’ll still be plying his trade at the Emirates.
The Frenchman will still only be 29 by this point and widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Europe.

Jorrel Hato
Arsenal considered signing Jorrel Hato earlier this summer and may well reignite their interest in future windows.
The 18-year-old Ajax centre-back is destined to reach lofty heights.
Riccardo Calafiori
The summer recruit Riccardo Calafiori will be six years deep into his Arsenal career and firmly established as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.
Declan Rice
Aged 31, Declan Rice will be a talismanic figure for Arsenal and wearing the captain’s armband but he’ll have a different midfield partner next to him…
Myles Lewis-Skelly
Myles Lewis-Skelly is currently emerging through the youth ranks at Arsenal and many feel he’s destined to become a fixture of the first team’s midfield.
The 2006-born is a marvellous deep-lying playmaker and will complement Rice in the double pivot.
Bukayo Saka
By this point, there will be no question marks as to whether Bukayo Saka is world class.
The left-footed winger will be approaching his 30th birthday and could be in contention for the Ballon d’Or.
Ethan Nwaneri
Ethan Nwaneri is the youngest Premier League player in history having made his debut aged 15.
The talented playmaker is being tipped to achieve special things in the game and could be one of the best players in the division by this point.
Nico Williams
Arteta is obsessed with the idea of signing Nico Williams and he’ll finally have his man.
Williams will be The Gunners’ new poster boy and real fan favourite.

Evan Ferguson
Brighton’s Evan Ferguson is already on Arsenal’s radar and given their current need for a specialist number nine, they surely won’t look much further than the Republic of Ireland international in future transfer windows.
If he fulfils his potential, Ferguson will be fighting for golden boots on a regular basis for North Londoners.
Arsenal’s starting XI in 2030 (4-2-3-1): Beadle; White, Saliba, Hato, Calafiori; Rice, Lewis-Skelly; Saka, Nwaneri, Williams; Ferguson.
