Predicted Aston Villa XI to face Chelsea

Aston Villa are already back in Premier League action, taking on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight.

It’s a really quick turnaround, with Dean Smith’s side having last been in action on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

It was a fantastic performance against the Eagles – the Villans winning 3-0 despite Tyrone Mings getting sent off in the first half.

Up next is Chelsea, who are looking to bounce back from defeat against Arsenal at the weekend.

Frank Lampard’s Blues have lost three of their last four and will be itching to get back on track.

Given the quick turnaround, Smith could well make a number of changes – although Emi Martinez is bound to keep his place.

In defence, Matty Cash and Matt Targett should continue as the full-backs, and Kortney Hause and £12 million star Ezri Konsa () will likely be at centre-half with Mings suspended.

In midfield, £30,000-a-week star Conor Hourihane () could come in for this one and make up a three-man midfield with Douglas Luiz and John McGinn.

That could see Jack Grealish move to the left, with Ollie Watkins through the middle and Anwar El Ghazi on the right.

Bertrand Traore may be the man to drop out against his former club, just to get some fresh legs into the engine room in the form of Hourihane.
