Pontus Jansson sends message to Salim Lamrani, as translator posts video of Leeds star
Salim Lamrani has posted a video of Pontus Jansson and Gjanni Alioski’s spat at full-time of April 2019’s 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday – and the now-Brentford captain has responded to Marcelo Bielsa’s former translator.
Jansson, 29, has since moved to London with play-off hopefuls Brentford. But the Swedish star clocked up 120 appearances for Leeds during his three-year stay at Elland Road and left the club despite boasting fan-favourite status.
Thankfully for Leeds fans, Ben White has turned out to be one of the best defenders in the Championship this season as Jansson’s replacement – certainly softening the blow of losing the outspoken Swede for a bargain price.
Lamrani, who has also remained a favourite of Leeds fans thanks to his posts about the Leeds players on social media, uploaded a video of Alioski and Jansson having somewhat of a spat after a 1-0 win over Wednesday in April 2019.

Lamrani has since left the club as Bielsa’s translator, with one of the Leeds manager’s coaches – Diego Flores – taking over in press conferences and in the media to translate for the Argentine gaffer.
Jansson and Lamrani have something in common, then, after both leaving last summer. But Jansson is still obviously close with Lamrani, responding to his video on Twitter – suggesting he said something to Alioski to provoke the Macedonian.
Haha Salim, don’t tell them what I said 😂
