Pontus Jansson sends message to former Leeds teammate on Twitter

Pontus Jansson sent a classy message to Luke Ayling on Twitter after the Leeds United right-back commented on his dream coming true following the Whites’ promotion to the Premier League.

Ayling has started all three of Leeds’s games since they returned to the top flight. And like many of his teammates, he appears to have taken no time at all to find his place at English football’s top table.

The 29-year-old has been excellent so far. And any Leeds fan who has watched the second series of the Amazon documentary Take Us Home will know exactly how much the opportunity means to the defender.

In fact, Ayling today commented on a clip from the documentary showing him discussing what it would mean to play at the highest level, ahead of Saturday’s clash against Manchester City.

And amongst those to respond was Jansson. The pair spent two years playing alongside each other at Elland Road.

They looked set to make up one half of the back four that would take Leeds to the Premier League.

Of course, Jansson moved on to Brentford ahead of last season. But the Swede is clearly delighted to see his old teammate getting the chance to prove himself in the Premier League.
