Pontus Jansson reacts as Gaetano Berardi makes Premier League debut
Pontus Jansson has taken to social media to pay tribute to Gaetano Berardi after the defender made his Premier League debut for Leeds United on Tuesday.
Marcelo Bielsa sprung a handful of selection surprises for the Whites’ clash with Southampton in their penultimate game of the season.

And one of those came at half-time at St Mary’s as Bielsa turned to Berardi, handing the 32-year-old his first league appearance of the campaign.
It comes after Berardi spent several months on the sidelines after sustaining a serious injury at the end of last season.

He has been back in the fold for a little while. However, the Swiss had not been brought off the bench for the first-team – until this week.
Berardi did well as Leeds went on to beat the Saints 2-0 on the south coast. In fact, it could be argued that it seemed as though he had hardly been away.
Berardi is one of the most popular members of the current squad amongst supporters. He has been on an incredible journey since arriving at Elland Road.
So it is no surprise that many were clearly delighted to see Berardi make his Premier League bow in Leeds’s latest win.
