Pontus Jansson names Leeds star alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the best he’s played with
Pontus Jansson that Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez is alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the best player he has played alongside during his career.
Hernandez looks set to go down as one of the club’s most important signings in recent years. For some time, he was often the shining light in a Leeds side that looked to have no chance of challenging for promotion.

And he remained a talisman following Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival. Of course, his winner against Swansea City last season seemed to be the moment when many believed that Leeds were going to cross the line in the promotion race.
Jansson had left Eland Road by the start of Bielsa’s second year at the helm. But he did play alongside Hernandez for three years before his surprise exit.

And when asked to name the best player he has played alongside, Jansson picked out the 35-year-old along with one of the most high-profile names of all-time.
“I have to say him as well, Zlatan,” , having named his countryman as his childhood hero. “But club-wise, Pablo Hernandez at Leeds. He was also something special.”
Hernandez has not played such an important role for the Whites so far this term. That has been due to various reasons. He is currently sidelined with injury.
But there have already been glimpses that suggest that the Spaniard could still make an impact at the highest level.
Few players contributed more to get Leeds back in the Premier League. And it would be no surprise if he returned to make a key contribution at some stage this term.
