‘Please be true’ – Some Aston Villa fans react to Marvelous Nakamba transfer links
According to Zimbabwean publication the , Aston Villa are ready to spend £20 million to bring Marvelous Nakamba to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old midfielder has previously impressed for current club, Club Brugge, but found himself out of the picture somewhat last season following a falling out with coach Ivan Leko, as reported by the .
The 12-cap Zimbabwe international may now need to leave the Belgian outfit in order to get back to playing regularly. Dean Smith could offer him that chance by bringing him to Villa Park this summer.
Smith will be seeking to bolster his squad following Villa’s promotion to the Premier League last season. If they’re to survive, and thrive, back in the top flight, then they must prepare well this summer. Nakamba would add some much-needed extra depth to their midfield ranks and would also bring steel and defensive discipline to the middle of the park.
Given his tough time of late at Club Brugge, there may be some doubts about Nakamba. The fact he has never played in the Premier League before may also raise a few concerns. However, he is undoubtedly a player with some real potential.
