Player really wants to leave Chelsea in January, £25m transfer fee needed

Trevoh Chalobah wants to leave Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the January transfer window.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has named the club that Chalobah is keen on a move to this month.

So, what has been reported about Chelsea and Trevoh Chalobah? Let’s take a look.

Trevoh Chalobah wants to leave Chelsea

Well, according to , Trevoh Chalobah wants to leave Chelsea and move to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed interest from Bayern in Chalobah, who can operate as a central defender or as a midfielder.

TEAMtalk has claimed that the 24-year-old himself is keen on speaking to Bayern and is open to moving to the reigning Bundesliga champions.

Chelsea are willing to sell Chalobah and are likely to accept £25 million in transfer fees for him. The Englishman worked under now Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.

My View: Eric Dier deal could scupper Trevoh Chalobah’s potential Bayern Munich move

In my view, Bayern Munich are unlikely to sign Trevoh Chalobah now because of a potential deal with Tottenham Hotspur for defender Eric Dier.

Dier, like Chalobah, can play as a defender or as a midfielder. He is 29 now and is more experienced than the Chelsea player and would be able to make an immediate impact at Bayern.

Moreover, Dier knows Bayern striker Harry Kane well. After all, they played together at Tottenham for years before the England international moved to the Bavarian giants in the summer of 2023.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported on X that Dier has reached a complete verbal agreement with Bayern, adding that Tottenham are now ready to sell him.

I do not think that Bayern would sign both Dier and Chalobah in the same transfer window.
