Player compared to Jack Grealish having medical with Everton after £20m deal agreed

A player who has been compared to Jack Grealish is now having his medical with Everton.

The Toffees have one final hurdle to clear before they can add to the signings of Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille, Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa, and Jack Harrison on another loan from Leeds.

So, who is currently having a medical with Everton? Let’s take a look…

Jesper Lindstrom undergoes Everton medical

A story from now claims that Jesper Lindstrom is having a medical at Everton.

A deal has been agreed which sees Everton pay Napoli a sum of €3m (£2m) to take the Denmark international on loan for the 2024/25 campaign – with a further €22m (£18m) to follow next summer if the Toffees decide to sign him on a permanent basis.

Tutto Mercato Web believe Lindstrom has already flown to England to undergo his fitness examinations with Everton today (Wednesday 24th July) – where he will then sign his contract if all goes well.

The Dane is leaving Napoli after just one season in Naples, following a £30m move from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2023.

It was an odd 2023/24 campaign for the Italian giants, who finished tenth in what was an abysmal defence of their Serie A title, while Lindstrom himself was only given two league starts – a very strange way to treat a £30m signing, to say the least.

Kevin Thelwell using the loan market superbly

Everton do not exactly have the largest transfer budget this summer – and financial worries have arisen at Goodison Park once again after Dan Friedkin pulled out of a takeover.

Therefore, the Toffees needed to use the loan market wisely, and Kevin Thelwell – Director of Football at Everton – is doing a fine job at that.

The aforementioned Harrison has been brought back to Merseyside on another loan, and in Lindstrom – a player who has been compared to Grealish – the Toffees are snapping up another player who could be very effective under Sean Dyche.

It was not long ago that the Danish midfielder was starring in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Lindstrom even admitted to rejecting an approach from Liverpool – as he feared a lack of game time.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Everton should announce the 24-year-old’s arrival soon.
