Player compared to Gareth Bale wants to leave after Liverpool submit £25m bid

Liverpool now seem to be in a strong position to land one of the most exciting talents at UEFA Euro 2024 this summer.

The Reds came close to selling Joe Gomez to Newcastle in𒈔 a £45m deal earlier🎃 this summer before talks collapsed – with Anthony Gordon going the other way in a £75m move – although that is arguably the only interesting rumour Liverpool fansꦚ have been served up in this window.

At the time of writing, Liverpool are yet to make a signing – the only Premier League side not to welcome a new arrival this summer.

Now – however – the first signing of Arne Slot‘s reign could be arriving from Turkey…

Baris Alper Yilmaz wants to leave after Liverpool bid

A story from in Turkey now claims that Baris Alper Yilmaz wants to leave Galatasaray.

The Turkish news outlet believe the Turkey international regrets signing a new contract with Galatasaray before headi🌸ng to UEFA Euro 2024 this summer, where he put his name up in lights and caught Liverpool’s eye.

Fotospor’s update comes after another Turkish news outlet in claimed that Liverpool have made a £25m bid for Yilmaz after his impress𝔉ive efforts in Germany this su🐼mmer.

The Galatasaray No.53 helped Turkey reach the quarter-final of UEFA Euro 2024 before the Netherlands knocked them out, running some ꧙of Europe’s best defenders ragged with his pace and power.

Yilmaz was even praised by Virgil van Dijk after the UEFA Euro 2024 clash between Turk🎀ey and the Netherlands.

The𝕴 Liverpool No.4 is by Milliyet as saying: “We worked very hard but we got the result. Baris Alper Yilmaz was running constantly. He was elusive. It was difficult for every defender. He made🎉 it very hard for us. He couldn’t score a goal though. If we were to describe him in any way, he is a really important player.”

Yilmaz’s immense physical attributes 💧▨have even drawn comparisons to Gareth Bale in the Turkish media.

Reds can tempt the Turkey international

By the sounds of it, Liverpool🦄 can easily afford to make Yilmaz an irresistible offer.

Fotospor believe the 24-year-old regrets signing his new contract with Galatasaray as he can now earn far more than the €500,000 (£421,807) annual salary he agreed to before UEFA E🍸uro 202ꦬ4.

The report states that Yilmaz has already been offered a yearly wage of €4m (£3.4m) by ꦑone unnamed club, which is tempting the man from Rize.

To put that into context,💞 Kostas Tsimikas earns at Anfield on a salary of £75,000-a-week, so Liverpool can afford to push for the Galatasaray star.
