Player Ange Postecoglou allowed to leave Tottenham really helped Micky van de Ven settle at the club

A report has named three of the players who played their part in helping Micky van de Ven settle in North London following his move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Micky van de Ven🍸 has proved to be an inspired signing for Spurs. It was clear that the side needed reinforcements at the heart of the defence heading into the summer.

🎀Ultimately, Tottenham agreed a deal with Wolfsburg worth up to for the Dutchman. But so far, he is proving to be worth every penny.

ꦡThe 22-year-old’s pace is absolutely frightening. And it allows Spurs to play an incredibly high line. Van de Ven also appears to bring the best out of Cristian Romero. The pair have been outstanding together.

So van de Ven has settled in brilliantly. And it seems that some of his teammates can take the credit for that, with reporting that Heung-min Son, James Maddison and Eric Dier♔ were amongst those who really helped the youngster early on.

Englishman will surely monitor centre-back’s progress even after Spurs exit

🎃In truth, none of the three names will come as a huge surprise to Tottenham fans. Son and Maddison are captain and co-vice-captain respectively. Meanwhile, Dier went into the season as one of the club’s longest serving players.

🍷Of course, Dier would have known that van de Ven’s arrival would probably have an impact on his minutes. However, the England international has shown that he is such a selfless character. And thus, it is not a shock that he was willing to help a potential rival.

🍰Dier has since left to join Bayern Munich on loan for the remaining months of his Tottenham contract. But you can imagine that he will still have one eye on Spurs’ progress and to see how van de Ven develops in the years to come.
