PL side decide they will not sell ‘incredible’ 26-year-old to Arsenal in January
Arsenal may be about to throw in the towel in their potential pursuit of Dominic Solanke, with Bournemouth making a decision on the striker’s future ahead of the January transfer window.
Dominic Solanke has emerged as a potential target for Mikel Arteta after a superb start to the season with the Cherries. The 26-year-old has already scored eight goals in the Premier League, making it the best top-flight campaign of his career to date.
Arsenal are interested in Solanke as the Gunners look to land the striker which will boost their hopes of lifting the title this season.
Bournemouth won’t sell Arsenal target Solanke in January
But it seems that the Gunners may be set for disappointment if they are planning to make a move for the former Liverpool youngster.

According to a report from , Bournemouth have decided that Solanke will not be sold under any circumstances next month. The Cherries are not planning to entertain any offers for their top goalscorer.
Not a huge setback for the Gunners
Some Arsenal fans may not be too disappointed to hear that Solanke is looking unlikely to join. Obviously, he has been in fantastic form so far this season. Only five players across the entire division have scored more often so far.
But his overall record in the Premier League stands at 18 goals in 112 games. Many of those will have been as a substitute – and he was ‘‘ in the Championship – but that is still underwhelming. And it is hard to imagine that he would get into the team ahead of Gabriel Jesus, and perhaps Eddie Nketiah also.
Arsenal also have their eye on Ivan Toney. And while he has been sidelined over the last few months, he has a much more impressive record in the Premier League, scoring 32 goals in 68 games.
Toney could cost £55 million. So he would not come cheap. However, it now seems that he may be easier for Arsenal to land than Solanke.
