‘Piling on the agony’: These Rangers and Celtic supporters react to Ibrox fans’ aerial display
It may be Celtic’s turn in front of the cameras today, but Rangers have once again stolen their limelight.
In a season that’s seen the Parkhead club lurch from crisis to crisis, their supporters have had to endure Steven Gerrard’s side going from strength to strength.
A 3-0 win over St Mirren on Saturday took Rangers to within a point of securing their first top-flight title since 2011, and anything less than a victory for John Kennedy’s team against Dundee United on Sunday would have sealed the deal.

Rangers were in celebratory mode on Saturday, with fans turning up in large numbers at Ibrox and numerous videos emerging of Gerrard celebrating with his players in the dressing room.
The jubilation from Glasgow’s blue side was still evident the following day. Six minutes into the match at Tannadice, a plane became visible over the stadium trailing a message that read: “Can you see us now? 55 titles.”
"They just couldn't resist, could they?" 👀

commentator Ian Crocker said: “And the Rangers fans are having their say above Tannadice today. They just couldn’t resist, could they?”
“Not a surprise, not a surprise” remarked co-commentator James McFadden.
Naturally, supporters of the two clubs had very different reactions to the display.

Paying to have a plane fly over an empty stadium in Dundee is tragic patter. It's been that long since they won anything Rangers fans are being really weird in how they try to gloat

Speaking to after that comfortable victory over St Mirren took his team to the brink of being crowned champions, Gerrard said: “We will see what happens tomorrow, it’s out of our control, I can only control the future games and now I will prepare the team for Europe, where we have a big incentive to get into the last eight.
“But tonight we want to let this soak and settle in, we’re on a big high because we know we are 99.9% there, and that is an incredible place to be in.
“This is a monumental achievement, what the players are about to achieve.”
