Piers Morgan thinks Arsenal have done something ‘very odd’ which could cost them the title

Arsenal have made two signings so far this summer transfer window and are exploring a deal to sign Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling ahead of the deadline tonight.

The Gunners are interested in signing Sterling, but at this stage, a deal is unlikely to materialise, leaving them a little light in attack.

Many also felt they needed to sign a specialist number nine this window but Mikel Arteta has opted to place his trust in Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

And now with Eddie Nketiah set to join Crystal Palace, Piers Morgan has offered a damning verdict on Arsenal’s transfer window.

Piers Morgan baffled Arsenal haven’t replaced Eddie Nketiah

Piers Morgan took to X and shared his frustration about Arsenal’s failure to bring in a replacement for the Palace-bound Nketiah.

In fact, Morgan even suggested that it could cost them the Premier League title and perhaps he has a point.

Arsenal could rue not signing a striker

When you look at Arsenal’s striking options, it’s hard to see either Havertz or Jesus netting around 20 goals – which is almost always needed in a title-winning team.

Plus, Jesus has struggled with injuries over the last 18 months, so if he picks up further knocks, all the reliance is on Havertz – who can blow hot and cold.

Perhaps they should’ve moved more concretely for Viktor Gyokeres, who’s been on their radar for most of the window.

Only time will tell if Arsenal are left to rue this window.
