Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg compares Tottenham player to Real Madrid and Brazi legend

Tottenham rounded off a good week with a second successive 4-0 win, beating Burnley on Sunday, having seen off Wolfsberger with the same scoreline – and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has compared a Spurs player to Roberto Carlos.

Gareth Bale continued his sparkling recent form, in which he scored in both legs against Wolfsberger and then laid on an assist in the 2-1 defeat to West Ham – despite only being a sub. He also hit the bar against the Hammers.

That saw him earn a start against Burnley and it paid off after just two minutes, latching onto Son Heung-min’s cross to open the scoring. He produced a beautiful 50-yard pass for Harry Kane’s goal and Tottenham’s second.

Lucas Moura made it three, before Bale made it four after another assist from Son Heung-min. Hojbjerg, emerging as a leader at Spurs despite only joining last summer – where he was captain – posted on Instagram.

Sergio Reguilon created the third, as his cross found Moura to make it three. The left-back was labelled as one of the best in the league in his position by Jamie Redknapp on Sunday –

The £48,000-a-week ace () now has six assists in 22 appearances after Sunday’s win, and he commented on Hojbjerg’s Instagram with two heart emojis – before Hojbjerg likened him to Real Madrid and Brazil legend Carlos.
