Photo: Spurs get injury boost as ‘phenomenal’ player finally spotted with ball at feet in training

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is certainly getting his way this summer as the club have already brought in five new signings just a few weeks into the summer window.

The Spurs squad are currently in South Korea for their pre-season tour, with four out of five of new signings alongside them. Clement Lenglet missed out as he didn’t have the necessary documentation to travel after his loan switch from Barcelona, .

But one of the new signings, Ivan Perisic, hadn’t even kicked a ball in South Korea by Monday, . The Croatian had only taken part in fitness work due to a calf injury, despite the squad making the trip to South Korea on Saturday.

Perisic suffered the injury during his last game for his former team Inter Milan back in May. Spurs fans may have been concerned to see their new signing not taking part in ball work with the team, but now it seems he’s on the road to recovery.

TBR’s View: Perisic Will Be A Vital Player For Conte This Season

Perisic is a player that has played under Conte at Inter Milan and knows exactly what the Italian demands from his wing-backs. This means he will be a key player for Spurs in the upcoming campaign as Conte relied heavily on his attacking trio of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski last season.

He will also be a great player for Ryan Sessegnon to learn from as the Croatian brings a solid pedigree to the club. It will be an intriguing fight for the wing-back role and the pair look set to fight it out for the left sided place in Conte’s team.
