Fiorentina fans are in love with Arsenal midfielder Lucas Toꩲrreira, so much so that they’ve put up a banneꩲr outside their stadium demanding his return.
The Uruguayan joined Arsenal in the summer of 2018, before the start of Unai Emery’s firꦛst season at the Emirates. Torreira was absolutely magnificent for the Gunners, 🐬and many viewed him as a big part of the club’s future.
However, in his second season, Emery decided to play him in🎃 a more advanced role, and that just killed Torreira’s confidence. He never really recovered fro𒁏m that, and Mikel Arteta decided he doesn’t want him anymore.
After a season on loan at Atletico Madrid, Torreira joined Fiorentina last summer and﷽ became a star therꦇe.

It seemed almost certain that Fiorentina will make Torreira’s loan deal permanent this summer. The Uruguayan has 🐎had a fantastic season, and he’d be a terrific signing for them, but a deal has reportedly collapsed.
La Viola have an option to sign Torreira, but the Serie A side apparently tried to negotiate a deal for a lower fee. Arsenal declined, and the midfielder is now set to return to the 𝓰Emirates.
Fiorentina fans are far from happy about this. The club’s supporters hav🗹e voiced their frustration towards CEO Joe Barone with a banneဣr outside the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.
The banner reads, “Torreira Alla Fiorentina, Barone all Arsenal,”ಌ which trans🅰lates to: “Torreira to Fiorentina, Barone to the Arsenal.”

As things stand, Torreira is expected to return to Arsenal for pre-se🅰ason, but it’s unlikely that he will be given an op🐓portunity to play for the Gunners again.
The Uruguayan, , will♏ enter the final year of his contract this summer, and if Arsenal don’t sell him now, they may end up losing him for nothing this time next year.
Torreira, however, is still a quality player. He may not be on Thomas Partey’s level, but the 26-year-old showed in his deb🐻ut season that he’s more than good enough to play in the Premier League.
It’s extreme♊ly unlikely, but giving Torreira another chance at Arsenal would not be a bad ide🐠a at all.
