An image of exciting winger Trezeguet signing a contract with Aston Villa has emerged on Twitter, with the protracted negotiations for his arrival looking set to be over.

It hasn’t been an easy ride in terms of getting the Egyptian to Villa Park, but the image posted online by from his native country indicates that it’s done.

An announcement will likely follow soon �once all the social media promotion has been finalised �adding pace and width to Villa’s exciting squad ahead of the new season.

The image will likely come as a relief to Villa fans who had seen the negotiations draw on and on, with delays over the fee and add-ons for the player, who also played at the African Cup of Nations this summer.

But he can be the replacement for Albert Adomah, and offer the service for new hitman Wesley, as well as looking to find the back of the net himself.

International team-mate Ahmed Elmohamady should help Trezeguet settle and the success of other in Mo Salah should boost his confidence that he can be a hit at Villa Park.

There’s already plenty of excitement around him from Villa fans and now that the deal looks all set to be done, it’s about what he can do on the pitch.
