‘Phenomenal’ Tottenham signing has already impressed staff after first week of training

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has welcomed a couple of new faces as he prepares for the 2024/25 campaign.

Lucas Bergvall was snapped up from Djurgarden back in February and after an impressive year in Sweden, the talented prospect has linked up with his new Tottenham teammates at Hotspur Way.

Archie Gray also arrived from Leeds United earlier this month and became Ange Postecoglou’s first permanent signing of the summer transfer window.

The duo enjoyed their first run out for Spurs in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Saturday against Cambridge United.

Now, following Gray’s first week of training at Hotspur Way, has claimed the youngster has already impressed behind the scenes.

Archie Gray impresses after first week of training at Tottenham

Football.London has shared some extra details about Gray’s display against Cambridge yesterday, with the outlet claiming that Spurs ran out 7-2 winners.

The 18-year-old is believed to have played at right-back in the second half as Postecoglou experimented with his backline in the absences of key defensive stars.

And the outlet also reports that Gray has already been catching the eye in training after signing from Leeds earlier this month.

What Gray has said about training under Postecoglou

Spurs seem to have picked a ‘’ talent in Gray and many Tottenham supporters are excited to see the youngster in action next season.

After racking up 52 appearances for Leeds last season, Gray appears to be ready to make an impact in the first-team under Postecoglou.

The talented midfielder has already commented in his first training session at Spurs and seems to be delighted after his switch to north London.

“Ever since I signed, I couldn’t wait to get started, and I can’t wait to train again more. The first session today, it was brilliant and I really enjoyed it, I just can’t wait to train again,” he said.
