‘Phenomenal’ Tottenham player is back in first team training today after injury
Tottenham Hotspur are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they host Everton in a 3pm kickoff.
Spurs, who have turned a corner recently, will hope to make it three wins in a row against the Toffees at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
On Wednesday, Tottenham’s channel shared footage of some of the Spurs players working out in the Hotspur Way gym.
Ashley Phillips, who has been recovering from an , was spotted taking part in the session along with the rest of the first-team players.
The 18-year-old Tottenham centre-back was injured on England Under-19 duty during the November international break.
Earlier in December, Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Phillips would likely be out until the New Year.
Although it’s unlikely we’ll see the Spurs summer signing in action the coming days, it’s good to see him back in gym training.
Postecoglou was reportedly ready to hand Phillips his debut in November, but sadly the injury he picked up on international duty put paid to that.
Hopefully the ‘‘ talent will be able to return to grass training soon and then he can be considered for selection at the start of next month.

Ashley Phillips ‘unbelievable’ in Tottenham Hotspur training
Phillips is certainly no stranger to competitive senior football. When he joined Tottenham, he had already made 14 competitive appearances for Blackburn Rovers.
Tottenham teammate Dejan Kulusevski seems confident about the prospect of Phillips starting for the first team too.
He told in November: “Yeah, probably he is ready. It is the coach that decides that, but I think every player is unbelievable in training.
“Everybody is ready, everybody wants to play and it is so high level, the training. So, if he will be called, he will be ready.”
